At BC, one big win could make up for many losses

BOSTON (AP) — Boston College linebacker Steele Devitto looks at the Eagles’ 1-4 record and he thinks about how impressive the team’s turnaround is going to be.

BC is preparing to play at No. 12 Florida State this weekend. For Devitto, that’s an opportunity to kickstart the season with one big victory.

A win in Tallahassee could erase the disappointment of last week’s loss to winless Army.

Boston College receiver Alex Amidon said he thinks about 2010, when the Eagles lost five straight games before beating Clemson. BC won the rest of its games before a bowl loss to Nevada.

Amidon said if that team can do it, so can this one.
