Experts from Providence Brain and Spine Institute will hold a free community forum to discuss the curious workings of the brain.

The forum is from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 1 at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center, Souther Auditorium, 9205 S.W. Barnes Road, in Portland.

The forum will explore common neurological diseases — such as multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease — from diagnosis to the latest treatments and search for cures. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.

Register for the forum at www.providence.org/brain or by calling 503-216-1055.

Speakers will include Dr. Stanley Cohan, medical director for Providence Multiple Sclerosis Center, Dr. Michael Mega, medical director for Providence Cognitive Assessment Clinic, and Dr. Richard Rosenbaum, medical director for Providence’s Center for Parkinson’s Disease.
