ALDIE, Va. (AP) — Past champion Bill Britton and Charlie Bolling shared the second-round lead Friday in the Senior PGA Professional National Championship.

Britton, the 2009 winner, shot a 2-under 70 in cold and windy conditions to match Bolling at 3-under 141. Bolling shot a 69. Both played at Creighton Farms, the site of the final two rounds.

The 56-year-old Britton is the director of instruction at Donald Trump’s Colts Neck, N.J., facility. Bolling, a 54-year-old PGA Life Member, was the PGA head professional at Fresh Meadow Country Club in Lake Success, N.Y., from 1997-2011.

Defending champion Kirk Hanefeld of Acton, Mass., was even par after a 74 at Creighton Farms.

The top 35 will earn spots in the Senior PGA Championship in May at Bellerive in St. Louis. The top five also will get exemptions into the final stage of the Champions Tour qualifying tournament.
