Harvard routs Bucknell 35-7

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) — Colton Chapple threw for two touchdowns and ran for two more as Harvard routed Bucknell 35-7 Saturday.

The victory marks Harvard’s (5-0, 3-0 Ivy League) 14th straight win dating back to last season, all by double figures.

Chapple, who finished with 189 passing yards on 11 of 18 attempts, threw first-half touchdowns of 14 yards to Cameron Brate and 59 yards to Kyle Juszczyk to help the Crimson take a 28-0 halftime lead.

Chapple’s 59-yard touchdown run midway through the third quarter extended Harvard’s lead to 35-0. The junior quarterback, who also racked up 120 rushing yards, is now 11-1 as Harvard’s starter.

The Crimson outgained Bucknell (1-5, 0-3 Patriot League) 459 yards to 212 despite running 13 fewer plays (65-52) than the Bison.

Brandon Wesley led Bucknell with 189 yards on 20-of-28 passing but threw an interception and was sacked six times.
