ISU RB James White out with knee injury

AMES, Iowa (AP) -- Iowa State running back James White will miss Saturday's game against No. 6 Kansas State with a knee injury.

The Cyclones (4-1, 1-1 Big 12) announced White's absence shortly before kickoff. No further details on White's injury were immediately available.

White, a junior from Dallas, is the team's leading rusher with 264 yards and two touchdowns.

Shontrelle Johnson is expected to get the bulk of the carries against the visiting Wildcats (5-0, 2-0). The junior entered with 229 yards rushing on 4.7 yards per carry.
