SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Joe Buck is getting to experience the ultimate San Francisco sporting Sunday.
The Fox Sports announcer is working a unique doubleheader, calling the late afternoon NFL game between the San Francisco 49ers and New York Giants and the nighttime NL championship series opener between the San Francisco Giants and St. Louis Cardinals.
And he’s even making the trip from game to game in the most San Francisco way possible — on a trolley.
The football game ended at 7:27 p.m. local time. That gives Buck just under 50 minutes to make the 7-mile trip from Candlestick Park to AT&T Park for first pitch.
