NEW YORK (AP) — Kid Kate rallied to beat Roman Treasure by a half-length Sunday in the $80,000 Classy Mirage Stakes for fillies and mares at Belmont Park,
The 5-year-old trained by Chad Brown and ridden by Jose Lezcano got her eighth win in 23 starts. The time was 1:16.69 for 6 1/2 furlongs.
Kid Kate paid $10.40, $5 and $3.70. Roman Treasure returned $4.50 and $3.80, and Media Starlett paid $6 to show.
