PORTLAND — A man convicted of killing two people in Washington and accused of killing two more in Oregon and California says he's ready to face the death penalty, but he denies there was a conspiracy and says his girlfriend should be released.
David "Joey" Pedersen gave The Oregonian an interview in the Multnomah County Jail, where he's awaiting prosecution on a federal racketeering indictment in Portland.
The indictment accuses Pedersen and Holly Ann Grigsby of kidnapping, carjacking and murder as part of an enterprise to promote a white supremacist movement.
Pedersen pleaded guilty to aggravated murder in the death of his father and stepmother in Everett in September 2011. He and Grigsby also are accused of killing a man near Newport and a man near Eureka, Calif.
