SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) — Notre Dame tight end Tyler Eifert isn’t getting frustrated. It’s not his style.

The 6-foot-6 senior has had to work harder this year to accomplish a lot less. After mulling a decision to turn pro after last season, Eifert says he’s just happy to be part of the unbeaten fifth-ranked Fighting Irish (6-0) as they prepare to play Brigham Young (4-3).

Eifert has only 15 catches this season with defenses focusing on him more than ever. Yet 10 of those have been for first downs or touchdowns. Eifert needs 24 catches the rest of the season to break the school record for a tight end.
