'Walk to School' event promotes safety

Ogden -- To celebrate Walk to School Month and increase awareness and excitement for Safe Routes to School, Peter S. Ogden Elementary held a "Walk to School" event on Oct. 11. More than 200 participants walked or bicycled to school for the one-day event. Community partners including Clark County Public Health, Safe Kids, Let's Move! Fed Ex volunteered to support the walkers and bikers by providing water bottles, reflective zipper pulls and safety education.
