Letter: Cantwell endorsement flawed

The Columbian
Published: October 19, 2012, 5:00pm

The Columbian endorsed Maria Cantwell for U.S. senator. The endorsement was based on her “assisting,” “promoting,” and “encouraging” various things in Southwest Washington. She has also voted for nearly every spending bill that has come along, resulting in four straight trillion-dollar budget deficits. She voted for Obamacare, which most people don’t want. She voted to regulate and tax our businesses out of existence. I give her no credit in getting a trickle of money back to Washington state while we are bleeding taxes to the federal government.

She has done little that is meaningful and helpful in her 12 years in office. Any freshman senator would and will do better.
