WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. (AP) — Mike Westerhaus passed for 321 yards and Jordan Brown ran for 152 and two touchdowns as Bryant won its second straight Northeast Conference contest 27-24 over Monmouth Saturday.

The Bulldogs (2-6, 2-4) fell behind 24-21 with 8:23 to play when Monmouth’s Kyle Frazier ran in a 9-yard touchdown. Bryant missed a field goal on the ensuing drive but got a second chance in Hawks’ territory when Connor McNamara intercepted a Frazier pass and returned it to the Monmouth (3-4, 2-2) 20.

Westerhaus passed the Bulldogs to the 4-yard line, and Brown ran in the go-ahead score with 2:19 left.

The comeback win is the second straight for Bryant, which scored with 5:35 to play last week to beat Robert Morris 38-35.

Westerhaus finished 24-of-40 passing with two touchdowns to Jordan Harris, who pulled in seven passes for 107 yards.

For Monmouth, Frazier finished with a pair of touchdown runs.
