BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) — Indiana’s Maurice Creek spent the last 21 months trying to recover from two season-ending injuries.

On Saturday night, the injury-prone guard finally gave Hoosiers fans a glimpse of what he can still do. He scored 48 points in Hoosier Hysteria’s long-shooting contest.

It came a week later than most teams opened practice, and fans filled every seat in Assembly Hall for the first time in event history. Some fans began lining up Friday afternoon and camped through steady rain and chilly temperatures to get one of the coveted tickets, which were all gone two hours before introductions began.

For Creek, it was a re-introduction of sorts. He hasn’t played in a game since January 2011. And Creek savored the moment, even hugging his mother after finishing the first round.
