Letter: Owen's experience carries clout
Saturday, October 20, 2012
We've all heard the saying that "the children are our future." Lt. Governor Brad Owen walks the talk. A long-time advocate for children, he's the chair of Washington State Mentors and recipient of their highest award, "Champion of Mentoring." He dedicated 22 years to Strategies for Youth, a nonprofit organization that promoted messages to youth about anti-bullying and substance abuse and prevention.
Owen has been a steadfast supporter of Southwest Washington, attending events and supporting our efforts. He has been our lieutenant governor since 1996. Experience is valuable.
I encourage our community to re-elect Owen.
