Letter: Reagan no friend of workers

The Columbian
Published: October 22, 2012, 5:00pm

As I read Gary Sachtjen’s Oct. 15 letter, “Fooled once too often by GOP,” I couldn’t have said it better.

Ronald Reagan was no friend of the blue collar workers. He said give business a chance and you will have jobs. He was 100 percent right. They went overseas when his deregulating took effect, mainly in China. The wealthy could not praise him enough, while the American people went begging. Twenty years later, the nation is still hurting.

Mitt Romney claims he will create jobs. He won’t say how. Most likely, it will be minimum wage jobs. Say “no” to Romney.

Democrats, get out and vote.
