Letter: Too much risk with I-502 approval

The beautiful state of Washington has too much integrity to put the lives of its residents in jeopardy and be known as the "pot state" by legalizing marijuana. It is a mind-altering, intoxicating, addictive drug, which can lead to the use of harder drugs.
Are we going to legalize such a drug in the name of money?
It would also make it more difficult for our great police force, as it will cause impaired driving thus causing more accidents and deaths. Some adults will give it to teens and even children, which could lead to more physical and mental abuse. Don't put our wonderful young people and families at risk for more revenue.
Please ask our state officials to cut back on unnecessary spending to get more money. Do not put lives at risk.
