A man from Salt Lake City was arrested after he allegedly robbed the Chevron service station at 610 N.E. 99th St. in Hazel Dell on Monday evening.

At 5:20 p.m., a man demanded cash from the clerk and indicated that he had something up his sleeve, said Sgt. Craig Randall with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office. The man was wearing a bright red coat and kept the collar pulled up over his face.

He fled north from the store on foot. Deputies in the area caught up with the man only a minute or so after he left. When the suspect didn’t comply with directions, they used a Taser on him, Randall said. All of the cash from the robbery was recovered.

The suspect, identified as Michael Jurule, 53, of Salt Lake City, was booked at the Clark County Jail on suspicion of first-degree robbery.
