BELGRADE, Serbia (AP) — Serbia’s state prosecutors say they have handed over the case of two England under-21 players and their assistant coach to the English judiciary after charges for their role in a brawl marred by racial abuse.

Prosecution spokesman Tomo Zoric tells The Associated Press that defenders Steven Caulker and Tom Lees, and assistant coach Steve Wingley, were officially charged with violence following the final whistle of the under-21 match between Serbia and England on Oct. 16 amid accusations of racist abuse of England defender Danny Rose.

Four Serbian players and an assistant coach were also charged and face trial in Serbia.

UEFA charged both countries’ soccer associations for the brawl, and promised tough action against Serbia for the racial abuse. UEFA is to discuss the issue on Nov. 22.
