BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) — Indiana already has matched its win total from last season with a 24-17 victory over Indiana State.

The Hoosiers now have the opportunity for their first Football Bowl Subdivision win since 2010 when they play at Massachusetts on Saturday.

Indiana went 1-11 last year and is in the infancy of a rebuilding project. Indiana was the lone program in the nation to go winless against a Bowl Subdivision team. The Hoosiers had one Big Ten win in each of the 2008, 2009 and 2010 seasons.

UMass moved to the FBS this season and opened with a 37-0 loss to Connecticut. It was the first time the Minutemen have been shut out since 1995. UMass managed just three first downs and 59 yards on 47 plays.
