Hudson's Bay — During Pearson Air Museum's four summer camp sessions, 58 campers learned the basics of flight, experienced take-offs and landings in the museum's flight-simulator lab and took aviation-themed field trips. Each weeklong camp culminated with campers co-piloting a small plane from Pearson Field and getting a turn at the controls. Campers ranged in age from 9 to 17 and included Sade Beasley, a Rose Festival princess who plans to study civil engineering at Oregon State University this fall. An additional 22 students completed a three-week Clark County Skills Center summer program where they earned high school credit at the museum
