RENTON, Wash. (AP) — Marshawn Lynch’s sore back is making him a bit of a question mark for the Seattle Seahawks’ opener on Sunday at Arizona.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday that Lynch will be evaluated day to day as Seattle goes through its preparations for the Cardinals.

Lynch was held out of the final two preseason games with back spasms that first popped up following Seattle’s exhibition win at Denver on Aug. 18. He’s been receiving treatment the last two weeks and went through the Seahawks walkthrough Wednesday morning, but would be limited in practice.

Lynch said he hopes he’s able to play against the Cardinals.

There will also be another rookie starting on the Seahawks offense Sunday with the announcement that J.R. Sweezy will start at right guard.
