Letter: Stand by Republican incumbents

The Columbian
Published: September 7, 2012, 5:00pm

The Democratic Party has controlled Olympia and Washington state for the past 28 years and the results are not impressive. The majority party determines what issues will be brought to the table and those issues that will be left on a shelf to collect dust. This was brought to our attention this year as our citizens suffered high unemployment, diminished property values and stifling business regulations. Yet it was gay marriage that those in charge chose to address.

Solution: Re-elect state Rep. Paul Harris, R-Vancouver, (17th Legislative District representative, position 2) and state Sen. Don Benton, R-Vancouver, representing the 17th District. Both are proven leaders willing to address the real issues.
