The Beavers made a goal line stand in the closing minute to preserve the Trico League victory at Castle Rock.
Eli Whitmire rushed 22 times for 184 yards and three touchdowns for Woodland (2-0). It was his 13-yard run in the third quarter that gave the Beavers the insurance points they needed.
