NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Saints defensive end Will Smith, reinstated Friday after his bounty suspension was lifted by an NFL appeals panel, is in uniform for New Orleans’ opener against Washington.

However, Saints starting cornerback Jabari Greer, who spent much of the preseason rehabbing a sports hernia, is out.

Greer was among four players the Saints scratched on Sunday, along with three healthy players: running back Chris Ivory, and defensive tackles Tyrunn Walker and Akiem Hicks.

The Saints entered with 50 players on the active roster after cutting receiver Adrian Arrington and fullback Korey Hall, and using roster exemptions on re-instated linebacker Jon Vilma and linebacker Barrett Ruud.

The Redskins scratched seven players, including safety Brandon Meriweather (left knee), defensive tackle Chris Baker, and guards Josh LeRibeus and Adam Gettis.
