Talking Points: No video, no problem

What’s the buzz from the world of sports? Here are some items that will have people talking:

1

Game video? We don’t need your stinkin’ game video. We’ll get it from one of your enemies.

That’s what the Oregon State Beavers must be thinking, referring to the Wisconsin Badgers.

Wisconsin refused to give Oregon State video of its first game of the season because the Beavers did not have game video to send to Wisconsin. The Beavers did not play last week because of a hurricane.

So Wisconsin said, no, you can’t have it, then threatened to take their ball and go home.

Well, because Wisconsin coaches are so lovable, (sarcasm, sarcasm), you would not believe that somebody else gave OSU the game video. Apparently, the Beavers saw something they liked, and stunned Wisconsin 10-7 on Saturday.

Hope the Wisconsin coaches have fun watching that video.

Not sure if this is a good thing for Seahawks fans or not, but Bill Simmons of ESPN and Grantland.com has predicted the Seahawks will reach the Super Bowl.

Simmons is in love with the rookie quarterback, the defense, and the soft schedule.

He did, however, go on Twitter on Saturday to apologizing in advance to Seahawks fans if he jinxed the team.

Washington Nationals pitcher Stephen Strasburg has been shut down for the season, one start before the team had originally said it would shut him down. The reason, the team said, was the distractions that all the stories regarding the shut-down were causing.

Of course, if the Nationals had never discussed it publicly, there would not have been so many stories the past month.

Duh.
