WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) — Purdue quarterback Robert Marve is still awaiting MRI results on his injured left knee — two days after getting hurt against Notre Dame.

A team spokesman said Monday there was no update on Marve. The injury drew immediate concern in West Lafayette because the sixth-year senior has already torn the ACL twice in the same knee.

Marve’s status for Saturday’s home game against Eastern Michigan will remain unclear until those results come back.

Marve competed with Caleb TerBush and Rob Henry for the starting job this summer, losing out to TerBush. But Marve started the season opener because TerBush was suspended. He rotated with TerBush last week against Notre Dame.

Marve is 41 of 56 for 414 yards with four TDs, one interception and an efficiency rating of 155.3 this season.
