CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago White Sox home run leader Adam Dunn is out of the lineup a fifth straight game because of a strained right oblique.
Dunn, who has 38 homers, was hoping to do some light swinging with a bat this week as he continues treatment.
Dunn missed two games earlier with the injury and then tried to hurry his return, playing in three games. He told reporters Tuesday that he came back too soon and that was a mistake. Dayan Viciedo was Chicago’s DH for a second straight game Tuesday night when the AL Central leading White Sox faced the Detroit Tigers.
