ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — No. 7 Georgia got through its first two weeks without four starters on defense.

At least two of them will be back for Saturday’s games against Florida Atlantic.

Safety Sanders Commings and linebacker Chase Vasser have served two-game suspensions after brushes with the law during the offseason. Commings was charged with domestic violence, while Vasser was arrested for DUI.

Commings is a big boost to the secondary, a versatile player who can work at either safety or cornerback. He was a starter last season.

Vasser was listed as a starting outside linebacker coming out of spring practice, so he’s expected to get plenty of playing time as well.

Coach Mark Richt still isn’t discussing the status of two other suspended players: All-American safety Bacarri Rambo and inside linebacker Alec Ogletree.
