An alarm malfunction caused a 45-minute evacuation Wednesday morning at Lake Shore Elementary School.
Firefighters with Clark County Fire District 6 responded to the alarm just after 9 a.m. at the school, 9300 N.W. 21st Ave.
Firefighters searched the school but had trouble finding out what tripped the alarm, said Fire District 6 Battalion Chief Brian Johnson.
The school was evacuated for about 45 minutes while firefighters investigated the alarm, Johnson said.
The alarm was reset and students returned to class. School maintenance personnel will investigate the alarm malfunction.
