A Vancouver man was in satisfactory condition Wednesday night at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center after a two-car collision Wednesday morning.

The Washington State Patrol said Aaron M. Buckingham, 35, was in 1999 Ford Taurus and was stopped at a red light at Northeast 99th Street and 117th Avenue. He proceeded east across 117th and collided with a 1998 Dodge Ram 500, the patrol said.

The Ram, driven by Aleksandr A. Vasilchishin, 28, of Vancouver, was southbound on 117th and collided with the side of the Taurus.

The accident happened at 7:21 a.m., the patrol said.

Buckingham was cited for failing to obey a lane control device (the red light).

Buckingham had fractured left ribs and an injured left hand, the patrol said. Vasilchishin was not reported injured.
