Shumway — Stephanie Barr, the director of volunteer development at YWCA Clark County, was invited to speak on solidarity in feminism at a conference held in Berlin in July. Barr presented her Trinity College, Dublin (Ireland), thesis paper, "What Unites Us? Effective Strategies for Fostering Solidarity Within a Diverse Feminist Movement." She was one of 38 speakers from the United States and Europe. "The conference was stimulating and challenging, and at times overwhelming," she said.
