Construction work on Monday will close a section of Forest Road 25 on the north end of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, officials said.

The work will close the road at Milepost 4, where it crosses Woods Creek. Crews will replace a culvert there to improve fish passage, according to forest officials. The road will close starting at 7 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17, re-opening on Sept. 27.

Forest Road 25 stretches between Randle and the Swift Reservoir, running east of the Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument. The road will remain open on either side of the construction site at Woods Creek, but there will not be a designated detour route.
