A 14-year-old girl was sent to the hospital as a precaution after being hit by a car in the Rose Village neighborhood Monday morning, officials said.
The incident happened just before 6:30 a.m. near East 33rd Street and N Street, according to emergency dispatch logs.
The girl was walking in a crosswalk when she was hit by a car, said Kim Kapp, Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman.
The girl had bumps, bruises and abrasions but her injuries didn’t appear to be serious, said Capt. Kevin Murray, a spokesman for the Vancouver Fire Department. Because of the type of accident, she was sent to a local hospital to be evaluated, he said.
The driver remained on scene.
