WOODLAND — A public meeting will begin at 5 p.m. on Sept. 27 at the Woodland High School Commons, 757 Park St., to gather comment on a new boat ramp on the Columbia River.

The Port of Woodland is doing a feasibility study to evaluate whether to build a boat launch at either Austin Point or Martin’s Bar/Lions Day Park.

At the Sept. 27 meeting, Nelson Holmberg, port executive director, and consultants will provide a presentation about the two sites, view preliminary design concepts and ask for the pros and cons of each site.

The port and its consultants will study the information from the open house, evaluate each and determine which location to build a new boat launch. A second open house will be scheduled later to present the findings.
