ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Buffalo Bills starting safety Jairus Byrd will miss practice Wednesday because of an injured right foot, and it’s uncertain whether he’ll play at Cleveland this weekend.

Coach Chan Gailey provided the update before practice, saying Byrd had a setback since hurting his foot against in a 35-17 win over Kansas City last weekend. Gailey wasn’t sure if Byrd would practice this week, and said it might be a game-time decision as to whether he’ll play.

Byrd wore a boot to protect his swollen foot following team meetings Monday.

Defensive tackle Marcell Dareus was excused because he’s still in Alabama with his family mourning the loss of his brother, who was shot and killed during a burglary on Sept. 9. Dareus is expected to return to Buffalo later this week.
