NEW YORK (AP) — Undefeated champion Awesome Feather easily won her comeback Thursday, beating All Due Respect by 1114 lengths in the $83,300 Nasty Storm Stakes for fillies and mares at Belmont Park.

In her first race since capturing the Sunshine Millions Distaff in January at Gulfstream Park, Awesome Feather, the 1-5 favorite, encountered little trouble improving to 10 for 10. Trainer Chad Brown will now prepare the champion 2-year-old filly of 2010 for the Breeders’ Cup Ladies’ Classic at Santa Anita in November.

Jeffrey Sanchez was aboard as Awesome Feather ran the one mile in 1:33.47, paying $2.40, $2.10 and $2.10.

All Due Respect, the 4-1 second choice, returned $2.70 and $2.40, while Daddy’s Honor paid $3.80 to show.
