Dynamo beat CD FAS 4-0 in CONCACAF play

HOUSTON (AP) — Giles Barnes and Bobby Boswell scored in the first half, and Cam Weaver and Calen Carr added second-half goals to lead the Houston Dynamo in a 4-0 win over CD FAS on Thursday night in the group stage of CONCACAF Champions League.

Houston improved to 2-0-1 to take sole possession of the group lead and will play Honduras’ Olimpia October 23 in Houston to decide the winner of the group.

CD FAS dropped to 0-3-0 and was officially eliminated from contention to advance to the quarterfinal stage. CD FAS faces Olimpia Sept. 27 in El Salvador.
