LSU's Hilliard devastating defenses with his power

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) -- Kenny Hilliard has emerged as LSU's top running back heading into this Saturday's game against Auburn, the same team against which Hilliard had his breakout game as a freshman last season.
This time the game is in Auburn and second-ranked LSU will be without starting tailback Alfred Blue, which could mean even more action for Hilliard.
Hilliard is averaging a team-high 101 yards rushing and has scored two touchdowns in each of the Tigers' first three games, making him the first LSU player in a decade to run for multiple touchdowns in three straight games.
Hilliard weighs about 230 points but says he's a little lighter and quicker this season, helping him break off several long runs which have boosted his average per carry to 8.2 yards.
