Want to participate in the corn-shucking or pie-eating contests at Saturday’s ninth annual Harvest Fun Day? The Clark County Historical Museum suggests registering in advance.

The events are part of the annual event that blends agriculture, history and family activities. It takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the 78th Street Heritage Farm, 1919 N.E. 78th St.

The pie-eating contests begin at 11:30 a.m., and corn-shucking is at 1:30 p.m. Call the museum at 360-993-5679 or email cchm@pacifier.com to preregister.

Other events include scarecrow making, pumpkin painting, fiber dyeing, ice cream making and vegetable harvesting. There will be blacksmithing, 4-H club presentations and live music. The event is free.
