PeaceHealth Kearney Breast Center has organized a daylong celebration and educational event in Camas to support women’s cancer awareness.

“Girls Night Out!” begins at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, in downtown Camas with free educational seminars focused on risks, signs, diagnoses and self care for cancer prevention. The daytime event also includes massages and yoga demonstrations.

At 5 p.m., participants can join in a rally for women that includes survivor stories and a fashion show. There will also be live music, pink drink specials from downtown merchants, treats and shopping promotions.

Events will be held at Journey Church, 304 N.E. Fourth Ave.

Cost is $15 to pre-register by midnight Sept. 27. On-site registration on Sept. 29 is $20. Visit Downtown Camas for more information.

The event is hosted by the Downtown Camas Association and Downtown Merchants. Proceeds will go to the Pink Lemonade Project and the Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Oregon and Southwest Washington.
