FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — New York Jets linebacker Bart Scott and a reporter needed to be separated by a media relations staffer after the two got into an argument when the reporter tried to take a picture of him.

Scott, who has refused to do interviews since Week 1, was on his way out of the locker room and speaking to a female reporter Friday when Dan Leberfeld of Jets Confidential magazine approached the linebacker to snap a picture with his phone. Scott asked Leberfeld why he was taking another picture of him — after Leberfeld did the same Wednesday, upsetting another female reporter.

Leberfeld told Scott he did because he wanted to, and the linebacker told him to “get a life.” Leberfeld fired back with the same response. Scott said he’d hit Leberfeld, who responded: “I’ll sue you.” Scott shouted, “I don’t care!” and was led out of the locker room.
