Letter: Hateful rhetoric should be rejected

The Sept. 16 letter, "Republicans put party first" by Scott White is truly frightening. Apparently, in his mind, anyone who opposes President Obama is a "traitor" and should be "dealt with swiftly and permanently." Here is the same mentality that fuels violence and hatred for all who disagree with his, and many others' opinions.
Not only does it reek of hatred, it gives an inkling of the type of personality that was used by Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin to silence opposition to their despotic regimes. My advice to White is to read up on the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights and chill out.
