MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is taking to Twitter to call for the return of union NFL referees after replacement officials’ final call in the Green Bay Packers loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night.

Walker’s tweet is drawing scorn from those who opposed the Republican governor last year over his proposal that effectively ended collective bargaining for most public workers in Wisconsin.

State Sen. Jon Erpenbach was one of 14 Democrats who fled to Illinois for three weeks last year in opposition to Walker’s proposal. Erpenbach is so incensed over the game that he tweeted two different phone numbers for NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and urged people to call.

Erpenbach said Tuesday he sees the irony in Walker’s post, but in Wisconsin “we’re all fans, first and foremost.”
