Hazel Dell fundraiser raises $1,000 for JROTC scholarships

Hazel Dell — How many pancakes can 150 hungry people eat? Stacks and stacks of pancakes were consumed by those who attended the Fort Vancouver Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution fundraising event at the Hazel Dell Applebee’s on Sept. 15. The DAR chapter raised more than $1,000, and spokeswoman Janet Critchfield said the event was “very successful.” The chapter will use the proceeds to fund Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps scholarships in the spring.
