Two Kaiser Permanente health plans have been ranked No. 1 in the northwest by the National Committee for Quality Assurance.
Kaiser’s Medicare and private (commercial) plans received the top ranking in the northwest for the second year in the row. In addition, the Medicare plan ranked fifth best in the nation, while the private plan ranked 13th.
The National Committee for Quality Assurance, a nonprofit dedicated to improving health care quality, measures plans in three categories: prevention, clinical treatment and consumer satisfaction. Kaiser scored in the top 10 percent for prevention and clinical treatment.
