Letter: Propaganda is not effective

The Columbian

I received in the mail a full-color glossy propaganda piece from the Washington state Republican Party. All it did was to demonize Tim Probst, candidate for state senator from the 17th District, without any idea of an alternate. It just slammed Probst. It seems ironic that the Republican Party can denounce a Democrat, but not readily endorse the Republican candidate, Don Benton, at the same time. Maybe the party is wiser than that.
