Letter: Stonier will be independent voice

The Columbian
Published: September 28, 2012, 5:00pm

I’ve known Monica Stonier for several years, while she’s worked at Pacific Middle School helping teachers improve, and as a cross country coach. My daughter’s report, “Ms. Stonier is awesome!” She has a nuanced understanding of the state’s constitutional “paramount duty … to make ample provision for the education of all children.” Stonier will be a fierce advocate for schools. She will listen to opposing views as she’s listened to mine. She will be an independent voice in Olympia, working for consensus and compromise we desperately need. Join me in support of Monica Stonier for 17th District state representative, position 1.
