Who in Clark County deserves special recognition for efforts to prevent and end homelessness?

The Council for the Homeless wants to know for its annual “Hope and Action” awards, presented at its fundraising luncheon every September. Awards honor people who work behind the scenes, who contribute personal resources including time and money, and who go above and beyond the call of duty in their regular work on the issue.

Nominations close on May 7. Go to councilforthehomeless.org to fill out or download a nomination form, or call administrative assistant Charlene Welch at 360-993-9561.

Awards will be presented at the 14th annual Hope and Action luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 20 at the Hilton Vancouver Washington, 301 W. Sixth St.
