Letter: Vote ‘yes’ in Battle Ground

The Columbian
Published: April 12, 2013, 5:00pm

Your “yes” vote is needed for the passage of the Battle Ground school levy. This is a minimum needed four-year replacement and operations levy. Failure would mean a 20 percent loss of the district’s operating revenue. The state has also set aside $6.1 million in levy equalization funds to help property-poor school districts like Battle Ground. This money is available only if Battle Ground passes the maintenance and operations levy.

Ballots have been mailed. Please vote “yes” for Battle Ground schools and for our children. The best return on any investment this community can make is to support education.
