SAO PAULO (AP) — Brazilian World Cup organizers say Ronaldo will remain in his role with the organizing committee despite moving to London to study advertising.

Organizers say Ronaldo’s decision to work with an advertising firm in England will not impede him from acting as a member of the committee.

Committee communications director Saint-Clair Milesi says Ronaldo is a volunteer and will contribute despite being away from Brazil in the next few months.

FIFA communications director Walter De Gregorio says Ronaldo will help promote the World Cup in Europe. Ronaldo will return to Brazil as needed, especially during inspection visits at the host cities.

Ronaldo’s move comes two months before Brazil hosts the Confederations Cup.
